The residential building on Steinlestraße in the Malerviertel district of Frankfurt am Main is situated within a well-established inner-city context characterized by a heterogeneous yet consistently scaled residential fabric. The design responds to this setting with a clearly articulated building volume that integrates into the existing structure while developing its own distinct architectural identity.
The building comprises ten residential units, distinguished by efficient layouts and generous natural lighting. Large openings create bright living spaces and enable diverse visual connections to the urban surroundings. The clear façade composition lends the building a calm and precise appearance.
The apartments are accessed via a central entrance, ensuring a compact organization and short circulation routes. Beneath the building, an underground garage with 15 parking spaces accommodates vehicular traffic, keeping the exterior free from parked cars. This allows for the creation of high-quality open spaces for residents.
Materiality and proportions are oriented toward the surrounding buildings without imitating them. The result is a contemporary residential structure that integrates seamlessly into the existing urban fabric while enhancing the qualities of the site.
